MPLS manager is not showing router VRFs on non-Provider Edge routers

Does Smarts discover VRFs on non Provider Edge routers?

Environment

All Supported Smarts releases

Cause

VRFs can exist on both PE (Provide Edge and CE (Customer Edge devices but requires the following OID's to be present:

• To discover VRF instances, Smarts MPLS polls the MPLS-VPN-MIB (.1.3.6.1.3.118.1.2.2.1).
  
  
• To find out the operation status of VRFs on a Cisco device, Smarts MPLS polls the OID: .1.3.6.1.3.118.1.2.2.1.5 

The reason the VRFs are not being discovered in this case, is because the device does not contain the following oid in its mib walk: 1.3.6.1.3.118.1.2.2.1

Resolution

Smarts is working as designed.
Contact the device vendor for clarification on why the device snmp agent is not picking up the MPLS-VPN-MIB (.1.3.6.1.3.118.1.2.2.1) OID.
