LDAP SERVER FOR Z/OS

Issue/Introduction

What is the MAPDBJ file used for with the LDAP started task? We notice that it gets very little use? Is it needed?

Resolution

The MAPDBJ accessed/opened when policy maintenance is being performed using the GUI to add,
modify or delete policy statements, actions, etc.

If you never perform policy administration, then the MAPDBJ can be removed, but if you need the ability
to perform administration in a pinch, then you will want to leave the //DD MAPDBJ and ensure that it
doesn't get deleted by SMS because of lack of use by creating an exclusion via DFHSM not to delete the dataset.
