How do I enable CLI debugging for VMWare Smart Assurance NPM IS-IS?

Environment

VMware Smart Assurance - SMARTS

Resolution

To enable CLI debugging in VMWare Smart Assurance NPM IS-IS, set debug=1 in the perl-cli.conf configuration file (conf/isis/perl-cli.conf) as follows:  

./bin/sm_edit conf/isis/perl-cli.conf

debug=1

This will create a CLI output log in local/logs for every router in the NPM IS-IS topology that is accessed using a CLI.
