Is it possible to create multiple instances of the SAM Adapter for Microsoft SCOM;

What is the procedure for creating two instances of the SAM Adapter for Microsoft SCOM to connect to two instances of Microsoft SCOM?

How to run mulitple instance of the SAM Adapter for Microsoft SCOM from the same installation location?

The ic-opsmgr-service.cmd script allows you to manage the adapter service. You can use the ic-opsmgr-service.cmd script to manually install the adapter service when you need to install multiple adapters on the same host.

The ic-opsmgr-adapter.cmd will also need to be updated for the second instance.

These scripts are installed to the BASEDIR\smarts\script directory.

If you modify these scripts by using the sm_edit utility, the updated script is located in the BASEDIR\smarts\local\script directory.

The ic-opsmgr-service.cmd script uses variables to specify information such as the software installation location.
Before running the script, you may customize the values of the variables as needed for your deployment. Variables list:
 

Steps as below:

1. Use sm_edit to edit both the files mentioned above:

sm_edit ../script/ic-opsmgr-service.cmd

sm_edit ../script/ic-opsmgr-adapter.cmd

2. These files are commented and explains how how to create two instances (These files will need to be duplicated and modified for each instance of the adapter required.).
