Symptoms:


Multiple  "ASL-W-ERROR_RULE_SOURCE-While executing rule set '<Basedir>IP/smarts/rules/devstat/wireless-listener.asl'" errors logged in IP domain log-

ASL-W-ERROR_RULE_SOURCE-While executing rule set '<Base Directory>/IP/smarts/rules/devstat/wireless-listener.asl'
 ASL-ERROR_ACTION-While executing action at:
 ASL-CALL_STACK_RULE-   RuleName: INSTRUMENT_WIRELESS_OBJ
 ASL-CALL_STACK_RULE-   RuleName: INSTRUMENT_RADIO_PERF
 ASL-CALL_STACK_RULE-   RuleName: CHANGE
 ASL-CALL_STACK_RULE-   RuleName: START
 ASL-ERROR_INVOKE-While attempting to invoke operation 'makeInstrumentationBasedOnKey' of object 'WirelessRadioInterface::RADIOIF-XX-XX-XX-XX-XX-XX/X'
 ICC-ENOTSUBCLASS-Requested class (WirelessRadio_Performance_Default) is not a sub-class of WIRELESS_Instrumentation

Cause

This has been recognized as a bug.

Resolution

Place the attached wireless-listener.asl in <Base Directory>/IP/smarts/local/rules/devstat to fix the redundant errors.

Additional Information

The issue stated above was reported for 9.4.1.x & fixed post implementing the modified asl. This fix is officially available on IP 9.4.2 as of June 2018, update to latest patch available on support site.
