How to test the syslog adapter?
This is possible with SNMP trap settings for alerts.
However, can this be down with the Syslog Adapter? Do similar commands exists to test Syslog alerts ?

This is not possible.
The syslog alerts are created by parsing the syslog file, so you can create a syslog file of your own with the data you want to convert to notifications in the format that is supported.
