Smarts IP: Unable to poll STP; Even with STP monitoring enabled in tpmgr-param.conf and domain reconfigured

Issue/Introduction

Symptoms:


Even though EnableSTPMonitoring has been set to in the tpmgr-param.conf and the domain reconfigured polling of STP related information is not happening

Environment

VMware Smart Assurance - SMARTS

Resolution

Polling will start only when the event is subscribed. The default subscription is not included.

You need to execute the following command for an external subscription 

./sm_adapter -s <server_name> --subscribe= STPNode::.*:: stpPortStateChange/pae
