This article explains how to determine if a port or interface in Smarts IP is a physical network adapter through the Smarts Domain Manager Administration Console.



To identify a port or interface as a physical physical network adapter, browse the interface through the Smarts Domain Manager Administration Console and review the value for IsLogicalNetworkAdapter attribute. If this attribute shows FALSE (as shown below), the port or interface is a physical physical network adapter.

Smarts Service Assurance Suite 9.2.2 counts Physical Network Adapters as Managed Objects.  The License model in Smarts Service Assurance (SA) Suite uses counts of Managed Objects.
