Smarts SAM: Notifier Script not showing user defined variables above 10 in SAM version 9.2.x - 9.4; User defined variables 11-20 are not available in sm_notify

Issue/Introduction

Symptoms:


User unable to reference variables UserDefined11 through UserDefined20 in ASL scripts running through sm_notify.

sm_notify works as expected when asl script does not reference UserDefined11 to UserDefined20.
However, when these variables are added to the ASL script, it does not process any notifications.

Environment

VMware Smart Assurance - SMARTS

Cause

sm_notify does not support UserDefined variables 11-20. An Enhancement request (ER) has already been logged for this to be supported.

Resolution

This issue will be resolved in a future release of Smarts SAM.

As a workaround, please place the attached notify.asl file in the <smarts>/local/rules/notifier directory and restart the sm_notify adapter.
