Issue/Introduction

Alcatel 5620 SAM adapter are naming device as "network:IP-" instead of displayname

Environment

All supported releases of Smart

Cause

Alcatel's Element Management System ( EMS ) sends event or status changes to the adapter as network:IP.

Resolution

The Alcatel 5620 SAM adapter naming convention of InstanceName in AM is working as designed. To map "network:IP" to the device name for every entry that the EMS passes to the adapter would drastically decrease adapter's performance in processing events.
