Smarts IP generating false Insufficient memory alerts for Cisco ASR Device (SysOid .1.3.6.1.4.1.9.1.1017)

Environment

VMware Smart Assurance - SMARTS

Cause

From the sm_snmpWalk of the device, we can see the InsufficientFreeMemory alerts on the following Memory pools,

30160112.2
30160112.3
38557239.2
38557239.3
56744940.2
56744940.3

These alerts are not False alerts.

As the device reporting 0 Free memory on these Pools, the alerts are correct and Valid.

Resolution

These alerts are not False alerts. The device utilizes the Cisco Enhanced Memory pool mib (1.3.6.1.4.1.9.9.221.1.1.1.1.8) to report memory values.
