What SNMP OID is polled for Card Status on Huawei s9303 and what OID values are mapped to the Card Status values?

Environment

VMware Smart Assurance - SMARTS

Resolution

The OID in use to poll Card status for this device is hwEntityOperStatus - 1.3.6.1.4.1.2011.5.25.31.1.1.1.1.2 from the HUAWEI-ENTITY-EXTENT-MIB which holds the operational status of the Card.

 

The possible values of this OID as per the MIB are:

         notSupported(1)

         disabled(2)

         enabled(3)

         offline(4)

         up(11)

         down(12)

         connect(13)

         protocolUp(15)

         linkUp (16)

         linkDown (17) 

 

These values are mapped to the Card Status values in Smarts IP as follows:

3, 11 = OK;

2, 4,  12 = CRITICAL;

1, 13, 15, 16, 17 = OTHER;

default value = UNKNOWN;
