Symptoms:


Understand Avg_HyperNotifPull_time, Avg_NotificationProcess_Time, Avg_HookFileProcess_Time variables.

These variables are located into the perfomance log file for SAM, which by default this is located at: 

<SMARTS_SAM>/local/logs/<domain>.perf

What are the Avg_HyperNotifPull_time, Avg_NotificationProcess_Time, Avg_HookFileProcess_Time variables in the .perf files?
 
What is the unit of time these attributes ?

Resolution

Avg_HyperNotifPull_time :

This is average time taken to pull the notification from the underlying server using HyperNotif driver. This is calculated based on number of notification pulled as the query goes from Presentation server to Aggregate server and average time calculated. Each cycle retrieves the data and average it out over an hour and displayed.

 

Avg_NotificationProcess_Time :

This is to mention notification process time when the notification started from processNLNotifyV2 till completion of the processing. This is again calculated for each notification and average is calculated.

 

Avg_HookFileProcess_Time :

This is for each notification how much time the hook script takes to process. The average is calculated based on each notification and printed.
