Issue/Introduction

Symptoms:
After installing VMware Tools 11.2.0 and rebooting, a virtual machine(VM) will wait for one to two minutes on a black screen before displaying either the desktop or login screen. This is known to affect Windows 7, Server 2008 R2, Windows 8, and Windows Server 2012.

Environment

VMware Tools 11.x

Cause

This is a regression in VMware Tools 11.2.0.

Resolution

This issue is fixed in VMware Tools 11.2.1 available for download at VMware Download.
