Issue/Introduction

To clarify and inform the customer about the symptoms shown in VCDR.

Symptoms:

• Customers may experience a blip in their VCDR environment
• All replications may slow to an almost complete stop and new ones will start stacking up
• Several alarms of "Protected group '…' status transitioned from GOOD to CRITICAL: The status for protection group '…' cannot be determined. Check again in a few minutes.
• After the above errors, a alert of "VMware Cloud DR alert: Description: Recovery SDDC 'VMware_AWS' status transitioned from CRITICAL to GOOD."

Cause

This can be caused by upgrades that were done in the VCDR environment as the VCDR SCFS and Orchestrator components have to be redeployed (with data/replication retained) during VCDR service upgrades.

Resolution

These errors are cosmetic/can be safely ignored as long as no other issues are being seen in VCDR. The customer can verify the latest version/upgrades in the VCDR UI by going to the Settings tab and then click on the About VMware Cloud DR. It should display the latest version.
