In 9.7, the "returned to normal" status alert email does not include agent or metric info, nor is the user able to identify what agents and metrics have been back to the normal state.

Issue/Introduction

  Question:

  On 9.7, when setting up an email alert in the event of "returned to normal" status, I not seeing the agent and metric information. So how do I know when metrics have returned to normal?

 

  Answer:

  On 9.1.x Management module, when an email alert action is configured and a state goes from danger/caution back to normal, the path for the metric is listed:

  Note: This info is reported on Caution and Danger alert emails as well.

  The Alert "xyz" closed a danger alert with a target of 2:
  SuperDomain/MQ|abc|WebSphere MQ and Message Broker|WebSphere MQ and Message Broker Agent|Queue Managers|ijk|xyz|Status:Queue Manager Status Value = 2



  On 9.7 with the same configurations for Caution and Danger alert emails, all the data is displayed as expected with agent and metric info.

  However, on the closed alert (back to Normal state) alert email, the following two parameters (which are present in the email template by default) return and display null values. The resulting metric and agent info is NOT displayed:

  ${Problem_Detail_List} and ${URL_Detail_List}
