What is the Smarts Network Configuration Manager (DDT) Device Driver Tool or formally called the QADD tool?

The goal of this tool is for customers to be able to create a temporary device driver for a unsupported devices to have the ability discover and complete basic pull or push configurations.  Please keep in mind that is a temporary driver and not all functionality in NCM may work on the unsupported device.

**Please Note: This is considered custom driver work so there is no Dell EMC Technical Support assistance.**

The DDT tool is a UI-based tool available in Smarts Network Configuration Manager, its designed to help users walk through the process of creating a simple driver.

To access and use the tool, do the following:

  1. Navigate a web browser to the following URL:

    http://<NCM--Server-IP>/ddt

  2. At the login prompt, enter smc-user or sysadmin and the corresponding password to access the DDT tool.
  3. Once logged in, follow the prompts to create the driver. There is a help option at the bottom of the screen to guide you through the process if necessary.
