Cause
Audit Report performs reporting on the latest audit trails for devices.
If the selected date doesn't include the latest audit trail, then the report will not show any data at all.
You need to select a date for a device which has the latest audit trail report.
The query used to generate the report has a condition audit_trail.is_latest_trail = true just before date part of the query(AND (audit_trail.enforcement_time >= ('2016-08-03 00:00:00')) AND (audit_trail.enforcement_time <= ('2016-08-04 23:59:59')))
So, if the selected date doesn't have latest audit trail data, then the report will not show any data at all.
If the selected date doesn't include the latest audit trail, then the report will not show any data at all.
You need to select a date for a device which has the latest audit trail report.

Resolution
There is no workaround available for audit trail report to report on all audit trails for the devices. All options/filters reports on latest audit trail data only.
