Issue/Introduction
NullPointerException is noticed in GUI when discovery is scheduled.
Resolution
When 'NullPointerException' errors appear in the NCM GUI, please collect the following logs for support:
- On the client computer from where NCM is launched:
- Navigate to C:\Users\<user>\VoyenceControl\logs\<ip or hostname of NCM>.
- Collect the 'uiClient.txt' log.
- On an NCM Application Server:
- Navigate to $VOYENCE_HOME/ncmcore/logs.
- Collect the server.log and powerup.log for the time frame of the event.
- Alternatively, user can navigate to $VOYENCE_HOME/tools, run
./saveLogs.pl all --save-rolled-logs
.
