Resolution
When 'NullPointerException' errors appear in the NCM GUI, please collect the following logs for support:
On the client computer:
1. Browse to C:\Users\<user>\VoyenceControl\logs\<ip or hostname of NCM>
2. Collect the 'uiClient' log
On an NCM 9.3 Application Server:
1. Browse to /opt/smarts-ncm/jboss/server/vc-server/log/
2. Collect server.log, jboss.log, powerup.log for the time frame of the event.
Alternatively, you can:
1. Browse to /opt/smarts-ncm/tools
2. run ./saveLogs.pl jboss --save-rolled-logs
On an NCM 9.4.x Application Server:
1. Browse to /opt/smarts-ncm/ncmcore/logs
2. Collect the server.log and powerup.log for the time frame of the event.
Alternatively, you can:
1. Browse to /opt/smarts-ncm/tools
2. run ./saveLogs.pl AS --save-rolled-logs
