Gather logs based on Task or Job ID

Issue/Introduction

Locating log that contains either a Task or Job ID

Environment

NCM 10.x

Resolution

To determine why there are problems with a job or task and and need to gather all the log information based on it.

Please follow the simple directions below:

This applies to a Combination Server (all in one)
 

1. source /etc/voyence.conf
   cd $VOYENCE_HOME/tools directory. 
   ./deviceLogs.pl <Task ID>

This applies to a Distributed setup.

On the Device Server you want to follow the Task or Job ID please do the following commands. (If you have more than one device server make sure you select the with the Task or Job associated with it)
 

1. source /etc/voyence.conf
   cd $VOYENCE_HOME/tools directory. 
   ./deviceLogs.pl <Task ID>

Below is a sample output for Task 100318
