Smarts NCM: LDAP server setup with NCM, getting error : "Did not receive successful HTTP response: status code=403, status message=[Forbidden]"

Issue/Introduction

Symptoms:


After configuring LDAP server via NCM, the NCM console cannot be launched and error seen as follows: 

"Did not receive successful HTTP response: status code=403, status message=[Forbidden]"

When configuring the LDAP server via NCM  following the steps in KB168839 (https://support.emc.com/kb/168839) ,
the following error is encountered when trying to launch NCM :

Environment

VMware Smart Assurance - NCM

Cause

The LDAP server admin user was locked as wrong password was being used

Resolution

Check the LDAP server admin user password and make sure the correct credentials are being used
