Smarts NCM 9.4: Discovery of a large number of devices causes device server restart.

Issue/Introduction

Symptoms:


Unable to download configs from a large number of devices.

Doing a discovery of a large number of devices will cause a restart of the Smarts NCM Device Server (DS), and all outstanding discovery and pull actions will be cancelled.

The messages for the cancelled tasks is:

Action failed...
Operation canceled, device server restart.

The server is running Smarts NCM 9.4 Patch1 and Dsr20 HF1.

Cause

This is a bug in Smarts NCM 9.4 Patch1 and Dsr20 HF1.

Resolution

This is a known issue in Smarts NCM 9.4 Patch1 and Dsr20 HF1.

Please upgrade to Dsr 20 HF3 to attain the fix.
