How to properly run the restore feature in NCM 9.2 series with the --silent (Run in non-interactive mode) option
In previous versions of NCM no database password security was in place and users could easly run the backup or restore procedure. In the 9.2 series database security was enhanced and requires a password for access and functions.
When restoring NCM 9.2 series you must supply a the database password for authentication purposes. Please look at the example below and provide the database password inside the single quotes.
./restore.pl /opt/smarts-ncm/data-image/backup-image-9.2.2a.0.17.CS.Apr-3-2014-02.00.tgz 'Ncm@1234' --silent
