Issue/Introduction
Symptoms:
Cannot login to Smarts NCM with Native Registry or TACACS account.
Immediately after entering User ID and Password and clicking on "OK" to login to Smarts NCM, receive Failed Java exception error message indicating log file at the following location:
C:\Documents and Settings\<user>\.nbapp-voyenceplatform60

VMware Smart Assurance - NCM
Resolution
To address this issue, do the following to clear the Client-Side cache (also described in Knowledge Base Article 11352):
Close out of Smarts NCM completely.
Navigate to your client's Documents and Settings directory (typically under C:), and then into your user account folder:
Non-Windows 7 users: C:\Documents and Settings\<user>
Windows 7 users: C:\Users\<user>
Delete the .nbapp-voyenceplatform60 directory located here:
C:\Documents and Settings\<user>\.nbapp-voyenceplatform60
Re-launch Smarts NCM/VoyenceControl
Additional Information
Deleting this directory will reset your VoyenceControl user interface back to default settings
