Smarts NCM: Cisco Stack 29xx switches have Model Names multiple times under the Model Tab separated with colon

Issue/Introduction

Symptoms:


When a Cisco Stack switch is discovered, the Model Tab has same model name multiple times separated with ":"
Ex: WS-C2960S-48LPS-L:WS-C2960S-48LPS-L:WS-C2960S-48LPS-L

Environment

VMware Smart Assurance - NCM

Cause

This is as per design - Cisco devices driver code for Stack 29xx series Switches was changed from DSR 21 HF4 release onwards, where the model is taken for each Stack chassis module via SNMP pull and concatenated with  :  and shown under the Model Column in NCM. 

The following models show this behaviour

Resolution

There is no need to change anything as this is per design
