Smarts NCM: The transformer user is not created if UID 514 already exists; ERROR: Failed to create /etc/init.d/transformeruseradd: UID 514 is not unique

Issue/Introduction

Symptoms:


The system was installed with NCM 9.4 and upgraded to NCM 9.4 Patch1.

Here is the error from the debug log:

ERROR: Failed to create /etc/init.d/transformeruseradd: UID 514 is not unique

 

Environment

VMware Smart Assurance - NCM

Resolution

This is a known issue and a fix has been created and is available as of June 11th 2015.

Please download Smarts NCM 9.4 Patch 2 to resolve this issue.
