Smarts NCM: Issue with being able to recognize Device Uniqueness using "Two Out OF Three Rule"; many devices having the same serial and sysoid are causing other devices to be overwritten in NCM

Issue/Introduction

Symptoms:




Facing an issue that is affecting around 100 devices where Serial Number and SysOID of the device are the same.  This is causing duplicates in NCM while discovering those devices, where previously discovered devices are being overwritten by another device.
These devices are violating the "2 out of 3 rule"(SysOID, Serial Number, IP Address) of Device uniquness in NCM.

Resolution

This is a known issue and a patch has been created to resolve the bug as of October 2015.
