Using the Proxy feature, you can access your Networks and Devices without having NCM on the Client machine.
You can use any Proxy client to connect to the NCM. Before attempting to use the Proxy feature, make sure you have a valid User ID and Password with root permissions.
To connect to EMC Proxy tool, use below network commands:
For Linux, TELNET to the application server using the Network Configuration Manager IP Address or Hostname. For example, type in telnet <AS IP> Port then press Enter.
For Windows, SSH to the application server using the Network Configuration Manager IP Address or Hostname. For example, use the PuTTy SSH program to SSH to <AS IP> Port , then press Enter. Screenshot as below:
To review a listing of the available Network commands, at the prompt enter help, then press Enter
Users using the NCM Proxy tool might experience a delay with using the (fd) command when searching for an IP address or device name. This is a known issue and a patch is planned for future a release.
