Issue/Introduction

Cannot connect to the Smarts NCM database because the password is unknown.

Environment

NCM - 10.1.x

Resolution

  1. Login to NCM Application Server (AS) as 'root' user.
  2. Set environmental variable as source /etc/voyence.conf.
  3. Navigate to $VOYENCE_HOME/tools
  4. Run java NCM -x $VOYENCE_HOME which will give DB's Password.
