Smarts NCM: While launching NCM receiving error "Microsoft JScript Compilation error - Expected ';' "

Issue/Introduction

Symptoms:


Below error pops out while launching NCM. The error pops-up several times at the beginning until the app is completely launched.


This issue is observed on OS Microsoft Windows 8 and above, irrespective of the browser used to launch NCM UI.

Environment

VMware Smart Assurance - NCM

Resolution

This is a Windows OS settings issue. Follow the below steps as solution for this issue:
Open Internet Explorer
1) Go to "Tools" -> Internet Options -> Connections -> LAN Settings
2) Clear the checkbox in  Automatically detect settings 
3) Click Ok

After the above change, relaunch NCM and it should launch without these error pop-ups.
