Alarm Description:

  • Purpose: GRE tunnel is down since GRE keepalives are not received for dead multiplier times.
  • Impact: Traffic sent through the tunnel will be impacted.

Resolution:
Check network connectivity between the GRE tunnel endpoints.

  • Is there a work around?
    Repair network connectivity between the GRE tunnel endpoints, or restore connectivity by re-configuring alternative routes for connectivity between the endpoints.
  • Maintenance window required for remediation?
    No. The GRE tunnel will auto-recover after connectivity between the tunnel endpoints has been restored.
