Issue/Introduction

Title: Alarm for high_availability.tier0_gateway_failover
Event ID: high_availability.tier0_gateway_failover
Alarm Description

  • Purpose: To inform users a tier0 service router has state changed on edge. It may not mean service router has issue. Please check events from syslog around the time of failover.
  • Impact: If none of SR on edges is up, N-S traffic will be impacted.

Resolution

Steps to resolve
For 3.0.0 and higher

Recommended Action:

Invoke the NSX CLI command `get logical-router service_router_id ` to identify the tier0 service-router vrf ID. Switch to the vrf context by invoking `vrf vrf-id` then invoke `get high-availability status` to determine the service that is down.
