NSX-T Service Deployment fails for Netscout vSTREAM (nGneniusONE) due to missing SHA hash files.

Issue/Introduction

• NSX -T Service Deployment with Netscout nGeniusOne failed with below error: "Error creating agency for deployment unit <UUID>. Some error has occurred.. Delete this deployment and create another one."
• No EAM task is triggered on vCenter for the deployment . EAM is UP.
• in var/log/proton/nsxapi.log you see entries similar to:

Cause

NSX displays in logs a validation error / manifest mismatch after generating the SHA-1 hash of the .ovf file.

 

As per nGeniusONE install guide, there are a few files that need to be uploaded to the nGeniusONE appliance as prerequisite for the deployment on NSX-T.

In them, the "NSX-T.sha.256" and "NSX-T.sha1sum.txt" files

 

If you run into the errors above, it might be an indication that the nGeniusONE appliance is missing the hash files.

 

Resolution

There is no resolution from NSX side.

Workaround:

Make sure sha-1/sha256 files are added to the nGeniusONE appliance as per their install guide.

Then delete and retry the deployment.
