Issue/Introduction

Title: Alarm for Edge Datapath configuration realization failure
Event ID: edge_health.edge_datapath_configuration_failure
Alarm Description

• Purpose: Indicates failure in Edge Datapath configuration realization.
• Impact: Edge node will not behave as expected and traffic flow might be impacted.

Environment

VMware NSX-T Data Center

 

Edge Form factors:

• Bare Metal Edge
• VM Edge

Resolution

Steps to Resolve
For 3.0.0 and higher

Recommended Action:

• Verify connection state between the Edge node and NSX Manager using 'get managers' Edge CLI. Configuration push from the NSX Manager to the Edge node fails if both the nodes are not in "Connected" state. 
• Check the health of the Dataplane service by invoking 'get services' Edge CLI. If the dataplane service is stopped, use 'start service dataplane' to start the service.

• If there are no issues in the above two cases, please collect support bundle to further analyze the logs file for invalid configuration error.
