Alarm Description

• Purpose: Indicates integrity of Edge Datapath crypto driver.
• Impact: Crypto driver not loaded causing Edge node to no longer process crypto packets.

VMware NSX-T Data Center

 

Edge Form factors:

• Bare Metal Edge
• VM Edge

Cause

The alarm is raised when datapath DPDK crypto module fails the integrity test or known answer tests at start-up. This implies the crypto binaries are corrupted. 

Resolution

Steps to Resolve
For 3.0.0 and higher

Recommended Action:

• The recommended action is to redeploy this Edge node to load correct binaries.
