Issue/Introduction

Symptoms:
  • Workload Domain expansion fails on the vCenter: Enable Virtual SAN sub-task
  • You see messages similar to the following in the /home/vrack/vrm/logs/vrack-vrm-debug.log file:

com.vmware.vrack.vrm.workflow.tasks.TaskException: The session is not authenticated.

  • The vCenter Server associated with the Workload Domain in question is unresponsive.


Cause

This issue can occur when the vCenter Server associated with the Workload Domain being expanded is unresponsive.

Resolution

To resolve this issue, restart the vCenter Server associated with the Workload Domain being expanded. Restart the failed workflow.
