Issue/Introduction

The purpose of this article is to provide awareness of a known issue with NSX 6.4.8

Symptoms:
On the HTML5 UI, the rules cannot be added to the existing rules table when clicking on Add Rule Below or Add Rule Above

Cause

Issue is present on the HTML 5 version of the UI (On the Flex version of the UI issue was not present), Html 5 application observes the issue up to the NSX 6.4.9 version.

Resolution

Fixed in NSX 6.4.10

Workaround:
The user either has to use the “Add Rule” button on the action bar above the rule table or the user will have to select an existing rule and use the “Copy Rule” menu along with “Paste Rule(s) Above”/“Paste Rule(s) Below” for creating rule above/below specific rule.

*Steps to reproduce*:

Go to Edge->Firewall->Rule,

Click on the menu “Add Rule Below” or “Add Rule Above”.

The message will say “This rule set has unsaved changes.

Click the publish button to start deploying.

**The publish bar appears but rule does not get added to the rules table**

Impact/Risks:
The user won’t be able to add rules using these two menus
