In order to more effectively assist with your NSX related Service Request, gather the following VMware Software Version and Build Numbers for your NSX Technical Support Engineer:
- NSX Manager Software Version and Build Number
- vCenter Software Version and Build Number
- ESXi Host Software Version and Build Number
- Networking And Security Services related 3rd Party Component Software Version
To simplify the collection process, details are provided on how to collect Versions and Build Numbers for these software components, from a common user interface, the vSphere Web Client:
NSX Manager Software Version and Build Number, collected from the vSphere Web Client:
- Select Home > Networking and Security > Installation > Management tab.
- Under NSX Managers, record Version and build number from the Version field.
vCenter Server Software Version and Build Number, collected from the vSphere Web Client:
- Select Home, Hosts and Clusters, select the vCenter Server from the Navigation tab.
- From the Summary tab, expand the Version Information table.
- Record Version and Build from the Version Information table.
ESXi Host Software Version and Build Number, collected from the vSphere Web Client:
- Select Home, Hosts and Clusters, expand the datacenter, expand the cluster, select the ESXi host.
- From the Summary tab, expand the Configuration table.
- Record Version and build number from the ESX/ESXi Version field.
