This is a Known Issue affecting Cloud Director version 10.4.2.
To fix, upgrade to version 10.4.2.1 or later.
Workaround:
Note: Check with backup software to ensure the
cloud.uuid value is not needed.
Note: Removing the
cloud.uuid value is requires the VM to be in a powered off state.
Before importing into Cloud Director:
- Login to vCenter
- Edit Settings on the virtual machine to import
- Choose the VM Options
- Expand the Advanced
- Choose the Edit Configuration
- Filter the name for cloud.uuid
- Remove the value
- Click OK
- Click OK
