"Host connection and power state" alarm in vCenter Server due to hostd crash

Issue/Introduction

"Host connection and power state" alarm is triggered in the vCenter Server.

The ESXi host was in a "disconnected" state for a short time.

ESXi host recovers from the issue on its own and no manual intervention would be required.

hostd-zdump.xxx was generated in the ESXi host.

Cause

Hostd crash caused the host to go into a "disconnected" state and trigger the "Host connection and power state" alarm in the vCenter Server.

Resolution

Issue is fixed in ESXi 7.0 U3 P04.

Update the ESXi host to version 7.0 U3 P04 or later.
