[VMC on AWS] NTP/Timezone configuration in SDDC

Issue/Introduction

The purpose of this article is to understand if NTP can be configured or modified in an SDDC.

Symptoms:
The customer wants to change the Timezone/NTP configuration for their VMC SDDC hosts.

Resolution

• The NTP servers for a VMC SDDC's ESXi hosts are automatically managed by VMware given this is an as-a-service product. Custom NTP servers are not supported in VMC SDDCs.
• The Timezones for a VMC SDDC's ESXi hosts is not able to be changed upon request.
