Issue/Introduction
Symptoms:
vCenter reports health errors "vSphere Health detected new issues in your environment"
Skyline Health indicates "Hosts with mismatched NTP configuration"
ESXi host configuration indicates NTP is enabled and running however no NTP Servers are seen
Cause
This is due to a sync issue between vCenter and ESXi hosts during initial deployment. These settings are configured and working on the ESXi host however vCenter is not able to report them properly.
Only hosts that were initially deployed with the SDDC are affected.
Resolution
Future updates to the SDDC deployment process will resolve the NTP sync issue between ESXi hosts and vCenter.
Workaround: VMC support is able to resolve the errors by restarting hostd process on the affected hosts.
Please note that a restart of hostd will disconnect the ESXi hosts from vCenter for a short period however there should be no affect on workload during this disconnect.
VMC support will require a schedule time to perform the restart.
Additional Information
Impact/Risks: There is no impact outside of the error to the end user or workloads.
