Issue/Introduction

This article provides information about the "Certificate Status" Alert/Alarm seen on the VMC on AWS vCenter server.

Symptoms:
The following alert/alarm is seen on VMC on AWS vCenter Server :

Cause

The "Certificate Status" is a default alert/alarm that is observed when a certificate is nearing its expiration date.

Resolution

The following actions can be taken on the Certificate Status Alarm/Alert:

• This Alert can be safely ignored
• This Alert can be safely reset to green with the help of the VMC GS team

VMC on AWS is a managed service and hence the Renewal of the Certificate will be taken care of by the team.

There will be no impact on the environment as VMC on AWS vCenter certificates are managed on the customers behalf.
