[VMC on AWS] Mgmt-ResourcePool not visible for users with CloudAdmin Role

Issue/Introduction

Symptoms:
Users with CloudAdmin Role logged into VMware Cloud on AWS are unable to see Mgmt-ResourcePool with all child objects (Management Virtual Machines).This will occur even if permissions are assign on Global Permissions level.



Logging in with [email protected] users are able to successfully view the Mgmt-ResourcePool with all child objects.


 

 

 

Cause

This is expected behavior on VMC on AWS, only users who are members of the CloudAdminGroup can view the Management Resource Pool. This is typically done when enabling Hybrid Linked Mode or integrating with the Cloud Gateway Appliance.

Resolution

Log in with [email protected] user

Workaround:
Please use [email protected] user to see Management Resource Pool with VMs
