Cause

This message is displayed if the Network Redundancy configuration alert is improperly suppressed in the SDDC. As VMC SDDC ESXi hosts only have a single physical network adapter, these alerts are meant to be suppressed and unavailable to view from the End-users perspective.

Resolution

This alert is benign in nature and should not affect the SDDC in any way. Therefore, this alert can be safely ignored.

However, if the alert is required to be cleared, please create a VMCS Support Request (Creating and managing Broadcom support cases). Please provide a screenshot of the alert and the request to clear the alert.

Note: There is no downtime associated with clearing the alert from the VMCS GS side.

Additional Information

The alert will not show up in the following scenarios as it is suppressed by their corresponding workflows:
  • Any hosts subsequently added to the impacted cluster
  • Hosts within cluster-1 which is the cluster created during SDDC provisioning.

Impact/Risks:
There is no impact to the SDDC or the workloads running within the SDDC.
