[VMC] Change the "[email protected]" password

Issue/Introduction

Process to change the "[email protected]" password when the current password is known. 

Environment

VMware Cloud on AWS

Cause

• In some organizations the "[email protected]" password is required to be changed periodically due to security policies.
• The current password has become compromised and is required to be changed by the organization. 

Resolution

• The "[email protected]" account is a local user account in VMware Cloud on AWS vSphere environments.
• This process can be followed to change the password when the current password is known: Change Your vCenter Single Sign-On Password
• In the above process, "[email protected]" is chosen in the Single Sign On > Users and Groups section. 

Additional Information

• The "[email protected]" password that is present in the VMware Cloud on AWS UI is only valid after the initial deployment of an SDDC.
• After the "[email protected]" password has been changed by the organization, it is the responsibility of the organization to document the updated password.
