[VMC] The provided password does not satisfy the password policy

Issue/Introduction

Attempting to change the local "cloudadmin" password results in the error message: 

"The provided password does not satisfy the password policy"

Environment

VMC on AWS

Cause

This error message is caused by the new password not meeting the necessary vCenter Password Requirements. 

Resolution

The new local "cloudadmin" password must meet the below requirements:

• At least eight characters
• At least one lowercase character
• At least one numeric character
• At least one special character

If the requirements are being met and the error is still seen, open a ticket with the VMC on AWS Global Support team.
