Question:

    I have SORT work files defined in my Roscoe JCL.  Do I need them?  What are  they for?

Answer

   These sort work files are for the Roscoe Sort Monitor - RSSCSOR0.

If the Roscoe initialization parms contain the line

RUN=SOR

then the SORT monitor is enabled and you should leave the SORT work file statements in your Roscoe JCL.

The SORT monitor allows a user to sort the contents of their AWS.

Additional Information:

To find out more about the SORT monitor type:
HELP SORT
on the Roscoe command line.
