"Edge-usb-device-inserted" event

Issue/Introduction

User receives several alerts about Edge-usb-device-inserted from different edges on the events tab in the Orchestrator.

Resolution

This is an expected behavior.
Every time there is a reboot/restart and USB is enabled (allowed in the Firewall tab), this log entry will occur.

Workaround:

Note: The workaround involves a reboot of the device, which may cause a temporary service disruption.

Starting on Edge version 4.5.0 it is now possible to disable the USB ports entirely, which will prevent the message from happening. This feature is only applicable for edge models 510 and 6X0.

1. Navigate to the Configuration tab of the affected edge or profile.
2. Click on the firewall tab.
3. Scroll down to the access section
4. Click on DENY under the USB section
5. Manually reboot the edge

Rebooting the edge can be done via Remote Actions in the VCO, or manually power cycled.
