Issue/Introduction

Symptoms:
  • Windows virtual machine fails to boot
  • Upon boot-up, you see the message:

    BOOTMGR is missing
    Press Ctrl+Alt+Delete to restart


Environment

VMware ESXi 7.x
VMware ESXi 8.x

Resolution

This is not a VMware issue.
